Sassi Gifts is a mobile gift shop service, formed by Sandra Samra in 2012.  The concept is a simple one of taking a shop to care homes, allowing residents and staff to shop for gifts.  Having worked as a nurse Sandra identified that residents in care homes wanted to be able to buy gifts for themselves or their loved ones, often being dependant on the good nature of the staff to purchase items for them on their own days off.  Sandra had the idea to be able to fit around her family needs.

Sandra tested the concept of sourcing good quality items and then supplying them lower than the high street prices.  This was done by contacting care homes and offering the gift shop service to them as a free activity, the only cost being to the person purchasing.

Needless to say care homes, like all businesses, run on budgets especially when running activities so to have a service that is offered to the home free and then the items are cheaper than they could buy in the high street is a great offering and of great interest to the care homes.

In 2013 Sandra took on Tina Goodhart, also a parent of two children to roll out the first franchise and test to see if the concept could be rolled out.  By October 2014 Sassi Gifts UK Ltd was formed, Tina was offered a partnership in this business to support Sandra in developing the franchise concept.

Sandra’s vision was to build an ethical business where people could regain the independence of shopping and choosing gifts for themselves, friends or family members.

At the homes within the care sector we arrive 30 minutes before the set time for the sale, we simply need a table (and a cup of tea if there is one going!), then we set up, allowing people to view and purchase the items we have that day and then after an hour tidy away and return on the next arranged day.  A stress free service!

We do also work with hospitals and charities to fundraise and we have strong links with the Great Western Hospitals Brighter Futures Cancer campaign, as well as attending lunch time sales at businesses who are not close to the shops.  Home parties are always popular, especially around the build-up for Christmas.

At Sassi Gifts, we work hard to provide a high level of service and high-quality products.

We offer an easy return of goods within 15 days of purchase, as well as replacement of any faulty items within 30 days of purchase.

      We never charge to visit a home! We also bring items which are all below the retail price, keeping us fair and ethical. We always have something new on the table at each visit, keeping us exciting and up to date with what’s selling well.
